Knight Scout Warrior
Runes of Magic may appear to be nothing more than another poorly made foreign MMOs, but if you look a bit deeper, there may be something special hiding underneath.
Runes of Magic is a Free game. This may turn some gamers off, but you may want to take a glance at this game. The old saying "You pay for what you get" may not apply to this title.
Gameplay:
The gameplay in Runes of Magic, IMO, seems to be very much like, the extremely popular MMORPG, World of Warcraft. One may argue this, but to me, you cannot deny the slight resemblances. I enjoyed WoW for quite some time, so taking some hints from success can't be a bad idea. In all honesty it seems like an early version of World of Warcraft. The movement is very fluid, like that of WoW. Most FPSs all navigate about the same way, but in the MMO market, moving your character around can vary quite a bit from game to game. You might not be grasping I'm meaning, but lets just say that the seemingly basic action of moving your character around seems fairly well implemented into RoM.
Graphics:
As I stated earlier, it looks like a primitive WoW, with some GW and slight hints of other MMORPGs mixed in. (Does that make sense? Lol) The graphics aren't too pretty and take more hardware than WoW does to max all the settings. This may be changed over time, but with a release date 5 years later than WoW and still looking worse than it? This seems a little off to me. Of course, it's proven that graphics don't matter too much in the MMORPG market. RoM has a medieval-ish art style that I could easily get used to. Its bland and pretty basic, but the simplicity appeals to me in the same way WoWs did to me.
(Old Hardware Compatibility-- Does not work with older ATi Video cards, such as the Radeon 9250! --> http://forum.us.runesofmagic.com/showthread.php?t=56 "The ATI Readon 9000 series is currently unable to support RoM. That would be 9000,9200,9250,9600...not sure if there is more. Its rumored that someone with a 9600 was able to play but out of the 5 people i have helped who had that card..they couldn't play." :( Ha, not that any of us are still using an old Ati card or anything anyways.. lol
---Here's some screenies, check it out for yourself!

Note: Most of these screenshots are of the game with all settings on the lowest quality option. At higher resolutions, and higher quality settings, the game looks much better.
